Eating Disorder Treatment in Central California for Teens and Adults

Who We Serve

At Oasis Eating Recovery, we welcome both teens and adults from across Central California who are ready to take the next step toward healing from an eating disorder. We proudly support individuals from across the Central Valley—including Fresno, Visalia, Madera, Tulare, and Clovis—through our accessible treatment locations. Our treatment environment is inclusive and supportive, with care that’s tailored to meet your unique stage of life. While many of our groups and services are shared, the way we approach treatment is always individualized—because teens and adults need different kinds of support, guidance, and clinical insight.

Whether you’re a parent searching for help for your teen or an adult seeking recovery for yourself, we’re here to offer compassionate care that fits your journey. No matter your age or background, you deserve a treatment experience that understands where you’re coming from and helps you move forward with confidence.

You deserve care, not perfection

Teens navigating eating disorders need more than just treatment—they need understanding, structure, and a space where they feel seen. At Oasis Eating Recovery, we support adolescents with compassionate, evidence-based care that helps them build healthier relationships with food, body image, and themselves. Our team is trained to work with the unique emotional, social, and developmental challenges that come with being a teen in today’s world.

Whether it’s anorexia, ARFID, bulimia, or disordered eating tied to anxiety or depression, we provide the tools and guidance needed through our structured treatment programs to make lasting progress. Through group and individual therapy, nutrition support, and age-appropriate education, teens find connection, gain confidence, and begin to reclaim their well-being—all in a supportive environment that respects their voice.

Healing isn’t linear

Eating Disorder Services for Adults

At Oasis Eating Recovery, we provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment for adults who are ready to take control of their recovery. Whether you’ve struggled for years or are just beginning to recognize the signs, we’re here to help you find stability, peace, and a healthier relationship with food and yourself.

Our adult patients often carry the weight of work, relationships, family roles, and personal history—so we meet you with the kind of care that respects your life experience. Through a variety of evidence-based therapies, nutrition counseling, and ongoing support, we help you uncover the root of your eating disorder and build tools for long-term recovery. This is your space to heal with intention, backed by a team that listens, supports, and understands.

You’re already doing better than you think

Inclusive and Affirming Care

Everyone who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, supported, and celebrated. At Oasis Eating Recovery, we believe healing starts with being fully accepted as you are. Eating disorders can affect anyone—regardless of gender identity, body size, or cultural background—and we approach each person with the care, curiosity, and respect their story deserves. You can explore more about the conditions we treat and how we support each diagnosis with care and clarity. No matter who you are or where you come from, your recovery journey is valid here.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Our team is trained to understand the deeper factors that shape a person’s experience with food and body—and we integrate that awareness into every care plan we create.

Gender-Informed Eating Disorder Treatment

Gender plays a powerful role in how eating disorders are experienced, expressed, and often misunderstood. At Oasis, we provide affirming care for individuals of all gender identities, including cisgender, transgender, and non-binary clients.

For cisgender women, eating disorders often show up as a mix of body image concerns, perfectionism, and societal pressure. For men, these disorders may go undetected due to harmful stereotypes—and may be tied more closely to muscle dysmorphia or performance-related stress. For trans and non-binary individuals, eating disorders can be deeply connected to gender dysphoria or the pressure to conform to certain body ideals. Our team creates space for open conversation and tailors treatment to each client’s lived experience, ensuring they are supported not just clinically, but personally.

Body Size Inclusivity

We reject the false narrative that eating disorders only affect people in smaller bodies. At Oasis, we recognize that disordered eating can exist in all body sizes—and that people in larger bodies often face delayed diagnosis, weight stigma, and medical bias.

Our treatment plans are free of shame-based language and rooted in body-neutral and body-trusting philosophies. We focus on nutritional stability, emotional healing, and self-compassion—not weight. Every client deserves a care plan that respects their body, honors their needs, and promotes lasting well-being without judgment or assumptions.

Culturally Responsive Care

Culture, family dynamics, and community values all influence how someone relates to food, body, and identity. Our diverse and experienced staff take time to understand each client’s cultural background and how it may shape their experience with disordered eating. We offer space for these layers to be explored in a safe, respectful environment, and we work to ensure that your culture is not just acknowledged, but honored throughout your recovery process.

Whether you come from a tradition where food is deeply symbolic, a family that avoids conversations about mental health, or a community where appearance is tied to value, we meet you with openness—not assumptions. We offer space for these layers to be explored in a safe, respectful environment, and we work to ensure that your culture is not just acknowledged, but honored throughout your recovery process.
